Joe Lyons is a phenomenal young bodybuilder from
Charleston, South Carolina who won the light
heavyweight class as well as the overall at the 2007
Palmetto Cup, and following on that won the light
heavyweight class at the South Carolina State
Bodybuilding Championships. Both of these wins gave
him national qualification. In 2008, Joe competed at
the NPC Jr. USA Bodybuilding Championships held in
his hometown of Charleston. He placed 6th in the
Light Heavyweight class. It is there that NAB caught
up with Joe and where we did our photoshoot of this
amazing athlete. He is a personal trainer with a
background in high school football. Joe started
competing in 2005. He stands 5'7" tall and weighs
215 lbs. off season, with a 32" waist. He can bench
424 lbs. and squats 578 lbs! We are very happy to be
